Busan Bokcheon Museum will launch a customized educational program called "Bokcheon Dream Playground" for groups of children aged 6 to 7, starting in October 2025.
This program is designed around important artifacts excavated from the Bokcheondong Ancient Tombs, a representative ancient Gaya heritage site in Busan. This year, the focus will be on the gilt-bronze crown, which is designated as a national treasure. The program will include storytelling, comparative observation of crowns, and a hands-on activity to create a gilt-bronze crown. It is structured to align with the 2019 revised Nuri Curriculum, tailored to the developmental stage of young children, to provide both educational effectiveness and enjoyable experiences.
The classes will be held twice a day on Fridays during the third and fourth weeks of October and November. Each session will last 50 minutes, starting at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. respectively. Each session is limited to 25 participants, and there is no participation fee. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Bokcheon Museum website, starting at 10:00 a.m. on September 22, 2025.
Seong Hyunju, Director of Bokcheon Museum, stated, "We designed this program to foster interest in history and culture through education tailored to early childhood," and added, "We will continue to develop programs that encompass various age groups to strengthen our role as a hub for cultural education in the local community."
