BNK Financial Group (Chairman Bin Daein) held the 'BNK Social Contribution Day' event on the 20th, with about 600 employees participating at 18 traditional markets located in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam.
'BNK Social Contribution Day,' which was launched to put into practice BNK’s new vision of 'Finance That Inspires the World' and to bring change and inspiration to the community through sharing and care, marked its second event this year under the theme of the 'Neighborhood Coexistence Finance' campaign.

This event was organized to support the struggling local neighborhood businesses and to care for marginalized groups in the region. This year, employees personally purchased holiday foods and daily necessities at traditional markets and delivered them to nearby community welfare centers, adding meaning to the upcoming Chuseok holiday.
BNK employees formed teams by region and visited every corner of the neighborhood businesses, purchasing holiday foods such as fruits, meat, and rice cakes, as well as daily necessities needed by the welfare centers, thereby supporting local merchants who are struggling due to the economic downturn and a decline in customers.
Bin Daein, Chairman of BNK Financial Group, and Bang Seongbin, President of Busan Bank, visited Bansonggeun Market in Haeundae District in person, expressed their gratitude to citizens visiting the market, and listened to various opinions on revitalizing traditional markets.
Kim Taehan, President of Gyeongnam Bank, who visited Myeongseo Market in Changwon, personally purchased and delivered items for elderly people living alone together with employees, spreading warmth in the community.
A BNK Financial Group official stated, "Through this Social Contribution Day event, we hope to support small business owners who have steadfastly maintained our local traditional markets and to provide even a little help to our neighbors during the Chuseok holiday," adding, "BNK will continue to create new hope through sharing and mutual growth with our neighbors."
On September 8, BNK Financial Group announced the 'Regional Economy Hope Declaration' to revitalize the local economy and strengthen corporate social responsibility, and has been continuously promoting coexistence finance to support the normalization of small business owners and financially vulnerable groups.
Busan Bank and Gyeongnam Bank have opened 'Regional Economy Hope Centers,' where they provide financial support such as debt adjustment and maturity extension for small business owners, as well as management improvement consulting that includes customized education programs. For financially vulnerable groups, they offer opportunities for genuine recovery by providing debt relief and supporting their return to the institutional financial system through debt adjustment.
