Pilot Operation in the First Phase of Hantan River Media Art Park

Interactive LED Lights on the Y-shaped Suspension Bridge
Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Younghyeon) will conduct a pilot operation of the 'Hantan River Garden Night Tour' program from September 26 to November 2 in the first phase of the Hantan River Media Art Park development project.
The 'Hantan River Media Art Park' is an immersive media content theme park being built around Bidulginang Waterfall and the Hantan River Ecological Landscape Complex, which are core attractions of the Hantan River UNESCO Global Geopark. The total project cost is 6 billion won.
It will be created as the largest media art space in Korea, combining natural scenery and digital art by integrating the latest technologies such as interactive media art, lasers, and digital holograms. The park will showcase the geological and ecological value of the Hantan River through media content, with the theme 'Terra Fantasia,' and will feature a total of five zones. The full opening of all sections is scheduled for May 2026.
This pilot operation will take place on September 26 to coincide with the nighttime opening of the Hantan River Garden Festa, and will be held in the first phase area, including the Hantan River Ecological Landscape Complex and the Hantan River Y-shaped Suspension Bridge.
Main attractions include a large-scale exterior wall video (media facade) show, measuring 150 by 40 meters, set against the backdrop of the Hantan River's columnar joints formed by volcanic activity. The Hantan River Y-shaped Suspension Bridge will feature interactive LED lights.
In addition, visitors can enjoy an aurora show using water fog, as well as various interactive media content, at the pond and lawn plaza in the Hantan River Ecological Landscape Complex.
The operating hours are until 9 p.m. on weekdays, and until 10 p.m. on Fridays, weekends, and public holidays. The venue will be closed every Monday for facility inspections.
A Pocheon City official stated, "This autumn, by linking with the 'Hantan River World Drone Festival' (October 9-12) and the 'Hantan River and Gwangneung Forest International Forum and Expo' (October 16-19), both held during the Hantan River Garden Festa, the Hantan River in Pocheon will become the top travel destination for visitors."
