Enhancing Retirement Planning Consulting Capabilities

iM Securities announced on the 19th that it held the 'Pension Manager Presentation Competition' to strengthen retirement planning consulting capabilities.

The competition, which took place on the 18th at the Korea Financial Investment Education Institute, was part of iM Securities' 'Pension Competency Enhancement Training' program aimed at nurturing pension experts. Seventeen pension managers from 11 branches across the country participated and competed in the event.

Since February this year, iM Securities has been providing basic and practical pension training for all branch employees, as well as advanced and feedback training specifically for pension managers at each branch.

The Pension Manager Presentation Competition selected winners through a preliminary review of retirement consulting proposals and successful business cases, followed by a final presentation round.

A panel of judges, consisting of employees from relevant departments, conducted the first round of preliminary screening based on criteria such as the suitability of pension asset planning, the completeness and effectiveness of the proposals, the potential for benchmarking by other branches, and the originality of the proposed products. Ten finalists were selected through this process.

In the second round, the panel evaluated the clarity of the presentations and the Q&A sessions to determine the grand prize and excellence awards.

The outstanding consulting proposals selected through the competition will be shared via the company intranet. This will allow sales staff to benchmark specialized sales know-how and cases from other branches, thereby enhancing consulting capabilities and expanding synergy across the company.

After the competition, a special lecture was held by Samsung Asset Management on domestic and global trends, as well as TDFs and ETFs. Participants also had a discussion session on recent trends in the pension market and methods for utilizing portfolios.
