This campaign is part of the company's ESG management initiatives and was designed to help employees naturally reduce single-use items in their daily lives. Since June, Kwangdong Pharmaceutical has implemented a policy at its in-house caf? that offers discounts on all beverage menus to employees who use tumblers, thereby encouraging voluntary participation in the campaign.
In addition to promoting tumbler use, Kwangdong Pharmaceutical has placed reusable cups in its break areas, contributing not only to the reduction of single-use items but also to the employment of people with disabilities. These cups can be reused at least 300 times and, after use, are collected and cleaned by a professional company affiliated with a 'standard workplace for the disabled' before being redistributed.
A representative from Kwangdong Pharmaceutical stated, "As social interest in eco-friendliness grows, we are pleased to see many employees actively participating in the campaign. We will continue to promote various activities to ensure that eco-friendly practices become ingrained in our corporate culture, rather than remaining one-off events."
Meanwhile, Kwangdong Pharmaceutical is engaged in a variety of environmental protection activities, including acquiring the international environmental management system certification 'ISO 14001,' running the 'KD Good Cycling' goods donation campaign, developing 'upcycled materials from agricultural by-products,' and conducting environmental cleanup volunteer work in Jeju through the 'Juicemong Doreumong' initiative.
