Namdo Market, the leading online shopping mall of Jeollanam-do, led by CEO Kim Kyungho, has been officially selected as the operating agency for the 2025 second half agricultural and livestock products discount support project by the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), following the results of a public project evaluation.
This selection is seen as a signal for achieving two public objectives: alleviating the burden of grocery prices for consumers and expanding sales channels for local farmers and livestock producers.
In particular, this outcome reflects the policy inquiry raised by National Assemblyman Moon Geumjoo (representing Goheung, Boseong, Jangheung, and Gangjin in Jeollanam-do), who emphasized the need to expand participation from various sales platforms, including public shopping malls operated by local governments.
Namdo Market immediately opened and began full-scale operations of the "Agricultural and Livestock Products Discount Support Project Special Hall" on September 15.
To commemorate its selection for the discount support project, Namdo Market has launched a special event for the opening of the Special Hall. The basic in-house discount rate has been increased from the previous 6% to 20% for the Chuseok holiday, and an additional 20% discount funded by the national government is applied, allowing consumers to purchase agricultural and livestock products produced in Jeollanam-do at up to 40% off.
CEO Kim Kyungho emphasized, "This special exhibition is not only about providing substantial discounts, but also about safely delivering products made with the dedication of local farmers and livestock producers to consumers. Our mission is to offer trust to consumers and stable sales channels to producers."
