A Total of 1,500 New Hires by Year-End
Increased R&D Talent in Eco-Friendly and Digital Solutions
On September 18, HD Hyundai announced that it will hire a total of approximately 1,500 new employees this year and plans to recruit around 10,000 people over the next five years, by 2029, across 19 subsidiaries in shipbuilding, construction machinery, and energy sectors.
In particular, the group will focus on securing research and development (R&D) talent for eco-friendly technology, digital smart solutions, and hydrogen and bio businesses, which are being fostered as future growth engines at the group level.
To help young people gain social experience and explore their aptitudes in advance, HD Hyundai is also operating a 'credit-linked internship program.' Since 2022, HD Hyundai has signed agreements with universities, allowing students to earn 12 to 15 academic credits if they work at the company for three months before graduation.
An HD Hyundai representative stated, "Young people are the future and hope of our society, and we will actively participate in resolving youth unemployment by creating quality jobs."
