According to the city on September 18, this event is being organized to celebrate "Youth Day," amplify the voices of young people, and invigorate the local community. Under the theme "The Jeonbuk Youth Festival Where Our Youth Unfolds," the festival will be designed as a participatory event where young people take the lead and come together.
The first day of the festival, September 19, will feature major programs such as "Solo Iriwa," "Neighborhood Walk Local Walk," and "Super Picnic."
"Solo Iriwa" is a matching program for single youth in their 20s and 30s, which was selected as part of the 2025 Jeonbuk Youth Fresh Ideas Project and has drawn attention. It offers young people opportunities for new encounters and communication.
"Neighborhood Walk Local Walk" is a participatory program that allows participants to explore the old downtown of Iksan and experience local culture. "Super Picnic," held on both the 19th and 20th, will feature a variety of cultural and artistic experiences, including live drawing and DJ and coffee busking, creating a free and lively festival atmosphere.
On September 20, there will be a special lecture titled "Youth Job Talk," where participants can learn practical job-seeking strategies, as well as the "Youth Empathy Local Live Talk Concert" with Producer Choi Byeol. The talk concert, themed "Living Life Differently," aims to foster empathy and reflection among young people.
At the "Youth Meetup Connect Talk," young people from the Jeonbuk region will have the opportunity to meet naturally and discover new connections and possibilities through networking.
In addition, throughout both days of the festival, there will be various booths on site, including a youth policy promotion booth, event booths, and food booths, offering a wide range of attractions for visitors.
Notably, this event is expected to be a festival where not only young people but also the middle-aged and older generations can come together. Events such as the Middle-Aged Job Center Job Fair, the Middle-Aged Technology Startup Center Startup Festival, and the Social Economy Grand Festival will also be held, promoting intergenerational harmony and revitalizing the local community.
Mayor Jung Heon-yul stated, "This festival will be an opportunity for young people to express themselves and grow within culture and industry," adding, "We will actively support young people's dreams and challenges so they can fully bloom in Iksan."
