Donga-Dongseo Glocal Alliance University Holds 2025 Education Innovation Forum

Showcasing the Achievements of Glocal University’s Educational Innovation
Focusing on the "Field Alliance Majors"

Donga University (President Lee Haewoo) and Dongseo University (President Jang Jeguk) held the "2025 Education Innovation Forum" at Sohyang Musical Theater on the Centum Campus of Dongseo University on September 16, sharing the achievements and future development directions of the Glocal Alliance University.


More than 300 people attended the event, including the presidents of both universities, university officials, and students.

This forum was especially designed to showcase the vision and achievements of the "Field Alliance Majors," providing a comprehensive look at the educational innovation taking place at the alliance university.

Currently, the alliance university operates four majors: Hydrogen Energy, Power Semiconductor, Advanced Content, and Convergent Design. Starting next year, two new majors-Human Meta Care and Heritage Content-will also be introduced.


During the forum, a student representative read a pledge, and four students-Kim Suhwan (Hydrogen Energy Major), Park Haesung (Power Semiconductor Major), Kim Daeho (Advanced Content Major), and An Hyeongju (Convergent Design Major)-received alliance university completion certificates and scholarships. Special lectures were also held, including "Changes in the Industry-Academia-Research Ecosystem in Busan in the Era of AI Semiconductors" by Professor Shim Daeyong of Donga University, and "The Present and Future of Webtoons" by Professor Yoo Seungjin of Dongseo University.


Additionally, the Donga University Taekwondo Demonstration Team and the Dongseo University Musical Team gave performances symbolizing unity and the spirit of challenge, receiving enthusiastic responses from the audience.


Lee Haewoo, President of Donga University, stated, "The greatest strength of the alliance university is field-oriented education, and through this, students are developing practical experience, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities. I hope today's forum will become a driving force for your new learning and challenges."


Jang Jeguk, President of Dongseo University, also emphasized, "Experiential learning is even more important in the AI era, and through the field-oriented education provided by the Glocal University, students will grow into talents with differentiated capabilities."


This forum served as an opportunity for the Donga-Dongseo Glocal Alliance University to take another step toward educational innovation and the cultivation of practical talents required by future industries and society.
