15-Year-Old Girl Reported Missing Last Year
Found in Front Trunk of Tesla
Local Police Investigating
An investigation is underway after the body of a decomposed teenage girl was found in a car registered to rising American singer-songwriter David (d4vd).
According to ABC News on September 18 (local time), the body discovered in a Tesla registered under David's name has been identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas.
The body was found in the trunk of a Tesla that had been towed from a street in Los Angeles on September 8. Local police reported that a missing person report for the girl had been filed last year, and her whereabouts had remained unknown since then.
The police are currently investigating how the body ended up in the trunk and the cause of death. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Robbery-Homicide Division is leading the investigation.
On September 8, police responded to a report of a foul odor coming from a vehicle at a Hollywood impound lot and discovered the decomposed body in the front trunk of the Tesla.
According to the coroner, the victim was 155 centimeters tall, had black curly hair, and was wearing a tube top, black leggings, a yellow metal bracelet, and metal stud earrings. The body was already in an advanced state of decomposition at the time of discovery, making the investigation challenging for police.
The Tesla was found abandoned on a street in Hollywood and had been at the impound lot since September 5. The vehicle is registered to David and is known to be one of several cars he owns, which have reportedly been used by multiple people.
ABC News requested comments from David's representatives and attorney but received no response.
David has 3.8 million followers on social media and released his debut album in April. He is currently on a world tour and is scheduled to perform in Los Angeles on September 20. However, his Seattle concert, which was set for September 17, has been canceled.
