On September 18, Korea Airports Corporation announced that it would activate an emergency response system to ensure normal operations at airports nationwide and minimize inconvenience for airport users ahead of a strike by its subsidiary labor unions.
The labor unions of KAC Airport Service and Southern Airport Service, subsidiaries of the corporation, have announced a strike scheduled for September 19.

In response, since September 11, the corporation has been conducting joint on-site inspections with its subsidiaries at airports across the country and has established a situation management team at its headquarters to monitor airport operations nationwide in real time.
If a strike occurs, the corporation plans to implement its emergency response system, deploying essential personnel secured in advance and internal and external substitute workers from its subsidiaries to minimize any gaps on site.
Additionally, to minimize inconvenience for airport users, the corporation will strengthen its cooperation system with the government, airlines, and local governments, deploy additional guides, place on-site notices and banners, and provide real-time information related to airport use through its website.
Jung Ki Lee, Acting President of Korea Airports Corporation, stated, "The corporation will do its utmost to ensure the safety of flight operations and maintain normal airport operations under any circumstances. We ask airport users to use the airport with confidence."
