Changwon Promotes City through Tourism Marketing
Changwon Special City in South Gyeongsang Province is currently hosting the 26th National Firefighting Children's Song Contest at the Masan Robot Land Convention Center over two days, from September 17 to 18.
On September 17, more than 20 distinguished guests attended the event, including Jang Geumyong, Acting Mayor of Changwon Special City; Kwon Sunghyun, Vice Chairperson of the Changwon Special City Council; Lee Junghwa, Director of Future Education at the Gyeongnam Office of Education; and Lee Sanggi, Chief of the Changwon Fire Department.
This year marks the 26th edition of the contest, with around 2,000 participants from 19 city and provincial fire departments across the country. The competition is divided into kindergarten and elementary school divisions, with enthusiastic performances from each group. In particular, since the event is being held in Changwon, it is expected to be a great opportunity to showcase the city's appeal to participants from all over Korea.
Changwon City is actively promoting its tourist attractions by operating promotional booths for participants and organizing various initiatives, such as discount events in collaboration with Masan Robot Land, to encourage visitors to experience the city's sights.
Representing Changwon City in this contest are Haneulbit Kindergarten from Seongsan-gu in the kindergarten division and Uichang Elementary School in the elementary school division. The final results will be announced on September 18.
Jang Geumyong, Acting Mayor of Changwon Special City, said, "I would like to thank all the teams who traveled from across the country to participate in this contest. I hope this event will serve as an opportunity to share the importance of fire safety and to foster enjoyable exchanges among everyone involved."
