Seo District in Gwangju Metropolitan City has rolled up its sleeves to support the capacity building of local small business owners.
On the 16th, Seo District held the entrance ceremony for the 3rd class of the "God of Business Academy" at the Small Business Management Support Center, with more than 60 participants including Seo District Mayor Kim Ikang and trainees, officially launching the program.
The "God of Business Academy" is a practical training program designed to support local small business owners struggling with the ongoing economic downturn and shrinking consumer spending. Kim Yujin, a restaurant consultant known as the "Korean God of Business," participates as an instructor, providing customized education and consulting to help resolve management difficulties for small business owners.
This academy, starting with "11 Strategies to Increase Sales," will be held a total of seven times through November.
Seo District plans to actively support the stable growth of small business owners and the revitalization of local commercial districts by facilitating networking among trainees and providing continuous monitoring and follow-up support after course completion, alongside the academy program.
Seo District Mayor Kim Ikang stated, "This training program goes beyond simply boosting sales; it is a practical program to help small business owners become central figures in the local commercial scene. I hope the trainees will grow into leaders of the local business community and create a virtuous cycle of mutual growth with other small business owners."
Meanwhile, participants in the 1st and 2nd classes of the God of Business Academy saw tangible results, with both their average daily sales and customer numbers increasing by more than 30% after completing the program, receiving an enthusiastic response.
