Busan Veterans Affairs Office and Busan National University of Education Develop Veterans Culture Education Content Using AI

Pilot Class Held in Fourth-Grade Classroom at Sinjeong Elementary School
Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Liberation

The Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office (Director: Lee Namil) has been promoting the "Support Project for the Development of Veterans Culture Education Class Content" in cooperation with Busan National University of Education since May, as part of a collaborative project for veterans culture education with local teacher training universities.

The purpose of this collaboration is to develop educational materials linked to local veterans infrastructure based on the educational and research capabilities of prospective teachers, to increase future teachers' interest in veterans affairs, and to ultimately enhance the substance of veterans culture education over the long term.

Prospective teachers from Busan National University of Education have been directly researching and creating veterans culture education plans incorporating AI technology. On September 17, they will conduct a pilot class titled "80 Years of Liberation: Tracing the Footsteps of Busan Independence Activists through AI" in a fourth-grade classroom at Sinjeong Elementary School in Jeonggwan-eup, Gijang-gun. The class will be conducted by the homeroom teacher of the respective class.

A representative from the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office stated, "This project is significant in laying the foundation for revitalizing veterans culture education centered on future generations," adding, "We plan to continuously pursue projects in cooperation with local teacher training universities to spread interest and understanding of veterans affairs and to strengthen educational capabilities."
