Discussing Strategies for Building and Utilizing AI-Based Biohealth Data and Innovating Precision Medicine
Expert Lectures by Song Giltae, Dean of Pusan National University AI Graduate School, and Others

Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan Institute of Science and Technology Promotion (BISTEP) will host a "Mini Symposium (Future of Biohealth Tech)" in conjunction with the 11th Busan R&D Week on September 26 at the conference room of BEXCO Exhibition Center II.
The symposium, themed "AI-Based Biohealth Data Construction, Utilization, and Precision Medicine Innovation Strategies," will share trends in AI and big data-driven precision medicine and digital healthcare technologies, while exploring strategies for the development of the regional biohealth industry.
The main program includes keynote lectures such as "AI-Based Personalized Precision Medicine: Busan's Technological Strategies and Feasibility" by Song Giltae, Dean of the AI Graduate School at Pusan National University, and "Digital Transformation in New Drug Development: How Data, AI, and ICT Convergence is Changing the Biohealth Industry" by Woo Sangwook, CEO of PharmCADD.
Approximately 60 participants from hospitals and medical institutions, universities and research institutes, biohealth and AI companies, as well as local governments and policy agencies, will attend the event to strengthen cooperation networks among industry, academia, research, and government, and to exchange innovative ideas.
Kim Youngboo, President of BISTEP, stated, "This is an opportunity to discuss how AI and big data technologies can drive medical innovation in the global biohealth environment," adding, "It will contribute to establishing Busan's unique precision medicine strategies and future vision."
The 11th Busan R&D Week will be held at the same venue on September 25 and 26, featuring keynote and invited lectures, policy forums, and achievement presentations. Participants can pre-register through the Busan R&D Week website.
