A total of 33 booths, including various food businesses and organizations, have applied. A wide range of food offerings will be available, from creative dishes using dumplings to snacks catering to families visiting the festival.

In order to ensure fair and systematic management, the city will convene a booth selection committee on September 16 to review the 33 applications. To create a festival that satisfies both residents and tourists, the final selection process will comprehensively evaluate the diversity of booth menus and the operational capabilities of the applicants.

Based on the results of the review, the final list of selected booths will be released on September 17. On September 19, an orientation will be held for the selected booth operators, where guidelines on festival management, safety protocols, and eco-friendly operation plans will be shared.

In early October, a dumpling tasting event will be held for the booth operators to assess the taste, quality, and marketability of their menu items. Through this process, the city aims to strengthen quality control standards and ensure that the food offered at the festival meets a certain level of taste and reliability for attendees.

Won Kangsoo, Mayor of Wonju City, stated, "This year's Wonju Dumpling Festival is being planned as an experiential event that goes beyond simply selling food, allowing both residents and tourists to enjoy a variety of activities." He added, "With a diverse menu and enhanced quality control through tastings, the Wonju Dumpling Festival can take another step forward as a leading local food festival."
