Sunmoon University Implements Customized Support Program for Academically Struggling Students

Sunmoon University announced on September 15 that it held a "Re-Start Learning" orientation and special invitation program on September 10 at the main building, targeting students on academic probation and those struggling academically.

This program, organized by the Center for Teaching and Learning Support at the University Education Innovation Institute, focused on boosting students' motivation to learn through guidance on academic support systems, personalized counseling, and participatory recreational activities.

In particular, Dr. Jang Ik, who holds a doctorate in Counseling and Coaching and serves as the Secretary-General of the Gangwon Branch of the Korean Counseling Association, was invited to lead a program fostering experiences in collaboration and communication.

"Re-Start Learning" is Sunmoon University's flagship academic support program, designed to help students improve academic achievement and adapt to university life through learning strategy workshops, one-on-one tutoring, and the provision of academic information.

During the semester, students benefit from merit-based scholarships and study skills guidance, while during vacation periods, practical support such as lifting credit limits is also provided.

Suh Heejae, Director of the University Education Innovation Institute, stated, "I hope this program will serve as an opportunity for students to challenge themselves again, going beyond simple academic support," adding, "We will continue to offer multifaceted learning support in the future."

Sunmoon University plans to use this program as a starting point to support the stable academic progress of students struggling academically and to strengthen systematic academic support measures.
