Direct-from-farm gift sets are delivered directly from the production site to the customer. This approach reduces distribution steps, maximizing freshness. However, because the distribution channel is not unified, it has been difficult to respond to large-scale holiday gift set demand due to challenges in forecasting order volumes and managing delivery schedules.

To address this, Emart has established an order-volume management-bulk delivery system through its 'Order to Home' service, creating a stable foundation for operating direct-from-farm gift sets. Order to Home is a direct-from-farm service that connects customers' orders placed via the Emart App to direct home delivery from the production site. Since its launch in April, the service has become the official fresh food channel on the Emart App.

The key features of Order to Home are its specialization in medium to large volume fresh food and its direct delivery service. Previously, direct-from-farm gift sets were managed in small quantities by individual stores or small channels, but with Order to Home, nationwide order volumes can now be managed in an integrated manner. Farmers can plan their supply and schedules in advance, while customers receive gift sets with fresh and reliable quality. Emart can also adjust production volumes and delivery dates, achieving economies of scale and offering discounts of up to 30% for more reasonable prices.

Given the extended holiday period this Chuseok, Emart is also targeting so-called 'late Chuseok shoppers' with a tailored strategy. Anticipating continued demand for gifts even after the holiday, Emart will offer Order to Home gift sets until October 9.

The Order to Home gift set lineup features 22 varieties. Representative products include the 'Choi Youngchang Farm' Misonghwa mushroom set (33,800 won for 1kg, 18-20 pieces), direct-sourced premium Korean beef set No.1 (140,000 won for 1.6kg), and the Seogwipo Fisheries Cooperative Okdom and cutlassfish set (95,000 won for 1.3kg).

Byun Jae-min, Emart's vegetable buyer, stated, "Direct-from-farm gift sets focus on the true meaning of a gift set and deliver the sincerity and trust of the giver," adding, "Emart will continue to develop the Order to Home service as an omnichannel fresh food service that maximizes both freshness and customer convenience."
