Gokseong County in South Jeolla Province announced on September 15 that the 25th Gokseong Simcheong Children's Festival will be held at Gokseong Seomjingang Train Village for four days from October 23 to 26.

With the theme "A Special Day as a Gift to Children," the festival will once again feature child-centered programs such as the 2nd National Children's Choir Competition, as well as a variety of hands-on activities that the whole family can enjoy.

This year, admission will remain free for elementary school students and younger. The main changes from last year include transforming the Rose Park into a large-scale experiential program area and creating performance zones throughout the festival grounds, effectively utilizing the entire Train Village as the festival venue.

In preparation for the festival, the county held a progress report meeting on September 12 to share operational plans and program arrangements, and to establish measures for welcoming visitors in each sector. Key topics discussed included parking and traffic management during the festival, convenience for infants and the elderly, environmental maintenance, crackdowns on illegal street vendors, food hygiene, price management, and the operation of a medical support team.

Deputy County Governor Jeong Changmo stated, "Since the entire Train Village will be used as the festival venue this year, we will thoroughly inspect all facilities before the event to ensure a safe festival that creates lasting memories."
