Hampyeong County, Jeollanam-do announced on September 15 that it had held labor rights education for employers to protect the rights of foreign workers in local industrial sites.

The training, which took place on September 11 at the Theme Video Hall in Hampyeong Expo Park, was attended by over 200 employers who hire foreign workers in various fields such as seasonal work and manufacturing. The program was designed to promote a mutually beneficial employment culture by protecting the working conditions and respecting the human rights of foreign workers.

A labor rights expert lecturer provided an easy-to-understand explanation of key topics, including the main provisions of the Labor Standards Act, prevention of wage arrears and compliance with working hours, industrial accident prevention and safety management, and equal treatment and respect for human rights, using real-life examples.

County Governor Lee Sangik stated, "Foreign workers are essential partners in our local industrial sites," adding, "I hope this training will help foster a workplace culture where workers and employers can respect and trust each other."

Meanwhile, the county plans to continue protecting the rights and interests of foreign workers through ongoing education and counseling support, while also building a foundation for the joint growth of both employers and workers.
