"I Go to the Temple, Jikjisa" to Be Held on October 24-25
Dating Programs Amid Autumn Foliage
Open to Single Men and Women in Their 20s and 30s, Regardless of Religion
Six Couples Matched at Previous Sinheungsa Temple Event
The Buddhist matchmaking program "I Go to the Temple" will be held at Jikjisa Temple in Gimcheon in October.
The Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism Social Welfare Foundation announced that it will be accepting applications for participation in "I Go to the Temple, Jikjisa," which will take place at Jikjisa Temple in Gimcheon from October 24 to 25. Jikjisa Temple is a representative temple in North Gyeongsang Province, primarily known as a training center for monks. The temple previously drew attention when BTS member RM visited.
This event will feature a variety of programs set against the beautiful autumn foliage of Hwangaksan Mountain and Jikjisa Temple. Various dating activities are planned to take place at Samyeongdaesa Park in front of Jikjisa Temple.
The event is open to single men and women in their 20s and 30s. Anyone can apply regardless of religious affiliation. Applications can be submitted through the Google Form linked in the notices section of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism Social Welfare Foundation website from September 17 to 24.
Venerable Dorun, CEO of the foundation, stated, "Thanks to the enthusiastic support of the community, including Venerable Jihae, the head monk of Sinheungsa Temple, the 'I Go to the Temple, Sinheungsa' event was successfully held. I would like to once again express my gratitude to the community of Sinheungsa Temple," adding, "We hope for great interest and participation in 'I Go to the Temple' to be held at Jikjisa Temple, a representative temple of North Gyeongsang Province."
Previously, the Sinheungsa Temple edition, which attracted the most applications ever, resulted in six couples out of a total of twelve pairs being matched.
