Benefits for Over 19,000 Farming Households
Up to 800,000 Won Provided Per Household
Boryeong City in South Chungcheong Province announced on September 15 that it will provide the 2025 Agricultural and Fisheries Subsidy through local agricultural cooperatives.
According to the city, this year, 19,043 households engaged in agriculture, fisheries, forestry, and livestock farming are eligible for support, with a maximum of 800,000 won per household to be provided in Boryeong Love Gift Certificates.
The Agricultural and Fisheries Subsidy is a policy implemented since 2020 to guarantee the public value of agriculture and fisheries and to create a sustainable rural environment.
Eligibility requires that applicants have maintained resident registration in South Chungcheong Province since before January 1, 2024, are registered as agricultural or fisheries business entities, and are actually engaged in agriculture or fisheries.
In Boryeong, there are 15,751 households in agriculture, 3,241 in fisheries, 6 in forestry, and 45 in livestock farming.
The subsidy amount is 800,000 won for single-person households, and 450,000 won per person for households with two or more members. Eligible recipients should visit their local agricultural cooperative branch with identification.
If direct receipt is difficult, a spouse, direct ascendant or descendant, or sibling may receive the subsidy on behalf of the recipient by presenting a proxy or succession receipt certificate issued by the township or neighborhood office head.
In particular, succession is possible in unavoidable cases such as death, brain death, illness, injury, or mobility difficulties occurring after the subsidy confirmation date.
The successor does not need to be in the same household but must have resident registration in South Chungcheong Province and be registered as an agricultural or fisheries business entity.
The payment period through local agricultural cooperatives runs until September 30, and from October 1, applications can be made at the administrative welfare center in the recipient's residential area.
Mayor Kim Dongil stated, "The Agricultural and Fisheries Subsidy will enhance the pride of those maintaining and promoting the public value of agriculture, fisheries, and rural communities, and will contribute to real livelihood stability. The provision of Boryeong Love Gift Certificates is also expected to greatly boost the local economy."
