"I bought a bulletproof vest because I don't know when I might die...
Left Korea for the U.S. out of fear of arrest"
Jeon Hangil, a former Korean history instructor and current YouTuber, mentioned recently slain American young right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, claiming that he himself could become a target for an attack. He stated, "I was genuinely concerned, so I bought a bulletproof vest for 1.5 million won."

On the 13th (local time), Jeon attended the "Truth Forum" held in Washington, D.C., United States, as an invited speaker. The "Truth Forum" is a hardline conservative youth group from Korea, and it reportedly held the event in the U.S. to raise awareness about the legitimacy of the 2025 presidential election fraud theory and the "Yoon Again" movement.
During the event, Jeon referred to Charlie Kirk, the American young right-wing activist who was shot and killed on the 10th, saying, "He was my role model, and his sacrifice is truly heartbreaking." He claimed that he came to the United States because he did not know when he might be arrested, and asserted that he felt his life was in danger. Jeon said, "I came to the U.S. because I thought I could be banned from leaving the country or arrested at any time. I also don't know when I might die. In fact, even while coming to this event, I was worried someone might be carrying a gun, so two days ago I bought a bulletproof vest for 1.5 million won."
Jeon also linked Kirk's murder to what he called "President Lee Jaemyung's religious oppression." He claimed, "A week ago, Kirk came to Korea and witnessed religious oppression. After he said he would inform President Trump about it, just three days ago, he lost his life at Utah Valley University."
Jeon Hangil: "YouTube channel profits suspended... This is media suppression and an attempt to silence conservatives"

Jeon also revealed that his conservative YouTube channel, "Jeon Hangil News," had its monetization suspended by Google. He said, "Perhaps because I pointed out what President Lee Jaemyung did wrong and criticized what needed to be criticized, that has become a sensitive issue. I wonder if leftists have taken over Google Korea, as they are suppressing conservative YouTubers." In a previous video posted on "Jeon Hangil News," Jeon also said, "I received an email about the suspension of monetization. They say it's due to a 'sensitive incident,' but I have never committed any illegal acts, crimes, or spread false information," arguing that this action amounts to "media suppression and an attempt to silence conservatives."
YouTube is believed to have suspended monetization on Jeon's channel for violating its "sensitive content" policy. According to YouTube's content guidelines, monetization is prohibited for content involving: vulgar language, child protection violations, violent images or thumbnails, or disputes and large-scale acts of violence. However, revenue through voluntary donations is still allowed. Jeon has disclosed his bank account number on his YouTube channel to receive support under the name of "voluntary subscription fees."
