"No Other Choice" Wins International Audience Award at Toronto International Film Festival Movie still cut from "No Other Choice"

Distributor CJ ENM announced on September 15 that director Park Chanwook's new film "No Other Choice" has won the International Audience Award at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival.

The International Audience Award, newly established this year, is given to the film that receives the most support from local audiences among works from countries other than Canada and the United States. Director Park stated, "I am not surprised by the news of the award, as I was able to witness the enthusiastic response from the audience during the official screening."

"No Other Choice" tells the story of Mansu (played by Lee Byunghun), who, after being suddenly laid off and pushed to the edge, jumps into the fierce job market to protect his family and home. The film was first unveiled in the competition section of the Venice International Film Festival, which concluded on September 6, and will be featured as the opening film at the Busan International Film Festival on September 17. The domestic release date is September 24.
