Global Infrastructure Cooperation Conference to Be Held from September 16 to 18

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that it will hold the Global Infrastructure Cooperation Conference for three days starting from September 16 at the Westin Seoul Parnas Hotel in Samseong-dong, Seoul. The event, which began in 2013, is organized by the International Contractors Association of Korea and brings together ministers and vice ministers from 90 countries around the world, as well as CEOs from major ordering organizations. This year, a total of about 500 participants are expected, including ministers and vice ministers from 30 countries, 26 CEOs, representatives from Korea's top 10 construction companies, the National Railway Authority, and other public institutions.


Yoonduk Kim, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, along with First Vice Minister Sangkyung Lee and Second Vice Minister Heeup Kang, will meet with foreign government officials such as the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine and the Minister of Transport and Communications of Peru. They plan to hold multilateral meetings and bilateral talks to support Korean companies in securing overseas contracts. Vice Minister Sangkyung Lee stated, "We will make every effort to support our companies in winning contracts so that we can achieve this year's goal of 50 billion dollars in orders."
