Nationwide Support for Hope Stepping Stone Centers
Employees of Samsung Electronics Service are actively supporting the daily convenience and career exploration of young adults preparing for independence.
On the 13th, Samsung Electronics Service dispatched a vehicle equipped with mobile phone inspection equipment to the "Dreamcatcher Festival" held at the Changwon Convention Center, organized by Changwon City and the Good Neighbors Gyeongnam Independence Support Agency.
Samsung Electronics Service employees volunteered their expertise by providing free inspections of smartphones and tablets used by young adults preparing for independence. In addition to supporting the product inspection service vehicle, they also donated daily necessities, such as blankets, to the Hope Stepping Stone Gyeongnam Center. Now in its fourth year, the "Dreamcatcher Festival" is an event that encourages stable preparation for independence, attended by over 100 young adults preparing for independence and children under protection in Gyeongsangnam-do.

Samsung Electronics Service is also supporting the Samsung Hope Stepping Stone "Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician Training Program," which helps young adults preparing for independence build technical skills and achieve economic self-reliance. Samsung Hope Stepping Stone is Samsung's social contribution initiative that provides housing, job training, and employment support to help these young adults achieve stable independence.
On the 9th, Samsung Electronics Service conducted on-site tours and special career lectures for Hope Stepping Stone trainees at the Comprehensive Technical Training Center located in Daejeon Metropolitan City. The tour program was designed to provide hands-on field experience to trainees preparing for the practical exams for the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic and Energy Manager certifications, and to assist them in career planning.
The trainees participated in gas welding practice and skill acquisition, industrial safety experience training, smart home appliance IoT integration practice, and special lectures on service engineer roles closely related to the installation, inspection, and management of heating, cooling, and air conditioning equipment. These activities supported their efforts to obtain certifications and prepare for future employment.
Since 2023, when employees at the Gumi Center began volunteering at the Hope Stepping Stone Gyeongbuk Center, Samsung Electronics Service has consistently carried out social contribution activities in collaboration with Hope Stepping Stone Centers nationwide.
These activities have included inspecting and cleaning home appliances at Hope Stepping Stone Centers, repairing smartphones for young adults preparing for independence, and providing daily necessities. Last year, product inspections and donations were carried out 24 times, and this year, 21 times.
