Issuing 3,000 Won Fall Discount Coupons
Promoting Mutual Benefits for Small Business Owners and Consumers
Uljin County in North Gyeongsang Province (Governor Son Byeongbok) will hold a fall discount event for the public delivery app Meokgaebi from September 15 to 21, aiming to ease the burden of delivery fees for small business owners and to revitalize the local economy.
The county plans to issue 1,600 discount coupons for the Meokgaebi public delivery app during this event. Consumers can use a 3,000 won discount coupon for orders of 15,000 won or more once per day through the Meokgaebi app, until all coupons are distributed.
The Meokgaebi public delivery app offers benefits to both small business owners and consumers. Small business owners can register their stores without any membership or advertising fees, and can reduce their burden through a 1.5% brokerage commission, helping to create a stable business environment. Consumers can enjoy various discount coupons, pay with the Uljin Sarang Card, and earn cashback when making payments.
Store owners can apply to join Meokgaebi through the Meokgaebi Owner website or customer service center, while consumers can install the Meokgaebi app from the App Store or Play Store, register as members, and start using the service.
The Uljin County Meokgaebi app, which launched on September 1, 2022, currently has 245 affiliated stores as of September, with a cumulative order count of 270,000 and a total transaction amount of 6.764 billion won. Notably, the payment rate using the Uljin Sarang Card averages 77%, indicating strong support from Uljin residents.
Going forward, Uljin County plans to issue additional 3,000 won discount coupons for the Chuseok holiday in October and the year-end in December, continuing events to benefit both small business owners and consumers.
Governor Son Byeongbok stated, "I hope the fall discount event for the Meokgaebi public delivery app will help increase sales for local small business owners and provide tangible benefits to consumers. We will continue to promote various events so that the platform can grow into one that supports both small business owners and consumers alike."
