Donations to Support Welfare Projects for Vulnerable Groups in Cheorwon County
Cheorwon County in Gangwon Province announced on the 12th that the Cheorwon County Hope Welfare Support Group and the Community Security Council participated in the "2nd Visiting Military Volunteer Expo" held on the 11th at Ojirigu Field in Dongsong-eup, where they operated promotional booths for the Duruwell Angel Movement, Good Family projects, and fundraising guidance.

This expo, organized by the Cheorwon County Volunteer Center, was held for approximately 800 soldiers and officers from the 6th Division 2nd Infantry Brigade. Various hands-on experiences and promotional activities were conducted to encourage participation in volunteer work.
Through the operation of their booths, the Cheorwon County Hope Welfare Support Group and the Community Security Council provided information on volunteer opportunities to soldiers and officers, promoted the Duruwell Angel Support Project, conducted fundraising for the Duruwell Angel Movement, and introduced the Good Family project.
In particular, the donations collected on this day will be processed through the Gangwon Community Chest of Korea (regional fundraising) and will be used to support welfare projects for vulnerable groups in Cheorwon County, such as providing living expenses and medical assistance.
An official from Cheorwon County stated, "This event was organized to allow military personnel to experience the value of sharing and volunteering with the local community, and it served as an opportunity to foster a culture of volunteer participation. We will continue to collaborate with military units to carry out welfare and volunteer activities that promote mutual growth within the community."
