Shinan County in South Jeolla Province announced on September 12, 2025, that it has imposed approximately 55,000 cases of regular property tax for September 2025, totaling 2.3 billion won. This round of property tax covers land and the second installment for residential properties.

According to the county, efforts to improve the accuracy and fairness of taxation-such as updating the tax ledger and inspecting the usage status of land owned by corporations that have applied for solar power development-resulted in a 5.63% increase compared to the previous year.

The property tax obligation applies to those who own residential properties and land within Shinan County as of the tax reference date, June 1. For land, the full amount is levied in September. For residential properties, if the tax exceeds 200,000 won, it is split equally and imposed in July and September.

The payment deadline is September 30. Even without a tax notice, payments can be made at any ATM nationwide using a bankbook or card. Other methods such as Wetax, electronic payment numbers, and virtual accounts are also available.

A county official stated, "We are providing guidance on various payment methods so that taxpayers can conveniently pay their taxes within the deadline," and advised, "For any inquiries, please contact the Assessment Team of the Civil Service Division at Shinan County Office or the General Affairs Team at each township or town office."
