SKT Holds Pre-Orders from September 12 to 18
50% Off Retail Price with Device Return After Two Years
SK Telecom has introduced the "T Instant Compensation Program," allowing customers to purchase the new iPhone at half price in celebration of the launch of the latest iPhone.
On September 12, SK Telecom announced, "We are offering a variety of purchase support benefits so that customers can buy the new iPhone at a reasonable price." Pre-orders for the iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air will be available from today until September 18.
The T Instant Compensation Program, based on the iPhone 17, charges a monthly fee of 18,100 won and compensates up to 70% of the device's retail price.
An immediate 50% discount is applied when purchasing the new iPhone, and if the subscriber returns their existing device after two years (if not returned, the previously provided 50% discount will be reclaimed) and upgrades to a new device, they will receive OK Cashback points worth up to 20% of the device price.
To minimize customer inconvenience during the device return grading process, the program allows not only A-grade but also B to D-grade devices to be returned.
Customers who choose the 5GX Premium or higher plan will receive a 50% discount on the monthly fee for the T Instant Compensation Program. The subscription period for the program runs from September 19 to October 31.
If T Instant Compensation subscribers pay for the new iPhone in installments using the Pineapple Shinhan Card, they can receive benefits equivalent to up to 30% of the device's retail price.
The Pineapple Shinhan Card offers up to 552,000 won in device discounts over 24 months for those who spend at least 300,000 won in the previous month, and provides a monthly discount of 5,000 won on the T Instant Compensation Program fee.
Additionally, SK Telecom is running a promotion for pre-order customers, offering three months of free iCloud+ 200GB (monthly subscription fee: 4,400 won).
Customers who complete pre-order activation by the 31st of the following month and apply for the benefit on the event page, setting "mobile phone payment" as the payment method for the subscription fee, will receive a billing discount on the subscription fee for three months starting from the next month.
