Positive Effects Confirmed by Logistics Journal Study
Rider Income Up 16%, Service Delays Down 25%
The "Baemin Connect Biz," the third-party logistics (3PL) model of Baedal Minjok, has been academically proven to deliver a triple positive effect: improving delivery service quality, increasing rider income, and boosting customer satisfaction.
Elegant Youths announced on September 12 that a recent issue of the Journal of Logistics published research findings showing that their 3PL logistics system, Baemin Connect Biz, has improved service quality and increased rider income.
Kim Janghyun, a professor in the Department of Business Administration at Kunsan National University, analyzed data from January 2023 to June 2025, both before and after the introduction of the 3PL system, to verify changes in delivery service quality and rider income. The study confirmed that delivery agencies adopting Baemin Connect Biz saw improvements in various areas, including enhanced dispatch efficiency, increased delivery completion rates, improved timeliness, and higher rider income.
Specifically, after the introduction of Baemin Connect Biz, the "customer experience damage rate" (such as delivery delays and exceeding estimated times) decreased by 25.5%, while the "on-time delivery rate"-the percentage of deliveries made within the notified time-also improved. Additionally, riders' hourly income increased by 16.2% following the adoption of the 3PL system.
Professor Kim stated, "The data-driven Baemin Connect Biz system, which combines flexible rider management by delivery agencies with the platform's dispatch system, enables improved delivery services. As a result, riders benefit from a better delivery environment, leading to a tangible increase in income."
Baemin Connect Biz is a logistics system in which agency riders deliver Baemin delivery orders received by Baemin. Partner companies can secure a stable volume of orders and income according to their applications, and can focus solely on operations, free from the burdens of store sales and dispatch management they previously handled. Additionally, delivery-related costs are settled on a weekly basis, enabling stable revenue generation.
