LS Electric Named Korea Job Excellence Company

"Job Creation Is the Most Certain Social Contribution"
From Competency Training to Comprehensive Childcare and Maternity Support

LS Electric announced on the 12th that it has been selected as a "2025 Korea Job Excellence Company" in recognition of its achievements in job creation and the establishment of a corporate culture that supports work-life balance. The Ministry of Employment and Labor selects the "Korea Job Excellence Company" each year to encourage and promote the creation of quality jobs.

LS Electric was chosen as a Job Excellence Company this year for its efforts to expand new hires last year and take the lead in recruiting young people and those from vulnerable groups. With the recent boom in the global power market, the company’s North American business has performed well, especially in smart distribution solutions, leading to increased recruitment. Last year, LS Electric hired 366 young people, marking a 16% increase in hiring compared to the previous year. The number of hires from vulnerable groups, such as people with disabilities or those aged 55 and older, also increased from 41 in 2021-2022 to 81 in 2023-2024. The total number of employees rose from 3,149 in 2023 to 3,269 in 2024.

LS Electric’s customized training programs for new hires have received positive feedback from employees. Through its in-house training center, the company offers competency enhancement courses tailored to roles such as sales, production, research and development (R&D), and business support. It also provides a variety of training programs by job level and function, as well as organizational development and coaching programs.

For management and research leader candidates, LS Electric offers a range of educational opportunities, including MBA programs and graduate school dispatches by job function, as well as a U.S. regional expert program. In addition, the company conducts training to internalize "LSEmanship," the core spirit of LS Electric, in connection with "LS Partnership," the management philosophy of LS Group.

The company is also committed to employee welfare. To support work-life balance, it provides and supports daycare centers and, ahead of legal requirements, proactively extended parental leave to two years. LS Electric also operates a childbirth and childcare support package, which includes childbirth grants and infertility treatment support. To promote work-life balance, the company offers flexible work arrangements such as staggered start and finish times and flexible working hours, as well as leisure support through sports event tickets and 93 in-house clubs.

An LS Electric representative stated, "We are expanding recruitment with the belief that job creation is the most certain form of social contribution," adding, "We will continue our efforts to help employees lead balanced and fulfilling lives at both work and home."
