A man who assaulted a monk receiving alms and caused a disturbance while completely naked has been apprehended by the police.
The Changwon Seobu Police Station in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 11th that they had arrested a man in his 50s, identified as Mr. A.
According to the police, at approximately 3:39 p.m. on this day, Mr. A is accused of assaulting a monk who was receiving alms near Bonggok Market in Uichang-gu, Changwon, by swinging a soju bottle at him.
He is also accused of causing a disturbance during the police arrest process by removing all his clothes and exposing his private parts.
The police, who arrested Mr. A at the scene while he was heavily intoxicated, are currently investigating the exact motive for the crime and whether he has any prior offenses of a similar nature. Upon completion of the investigation, they plan to apply for an arrest warrant for Mr. A.
