SK Launches 'AI Leadership Program' for Around 100 Executives

SK Group has introduced a new artificial intelligence (AI) leadership program for around 100 of its executives.

According to industry sources on September 11, SK Group will run the "AI Leadership Program" offline a total of four times over two months, from this month through next month. The program is open to about 100 C-level executives from each affiliate, including 24 CEOs such as Jang Yongho, President of SK Innovation; Kwak Nojeong, President of SK Hynix; and Yoo Youngsang, President of SK Telecom, as well as Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) and Chief Human Resources Officers (CHOs).

This program is designed to help senior management become more familiar with AI by covering global AI trends, expert lectures, and case studies on integrating generative AI into work.

The training is conducted through "MySUNI," the group’s in-house education platform launched in 2020. MySUNI is a platform that Chairman Chey Taewon personally led from planning to launch, reflecting his commitment to AI education for employees.

The launch of this AI leadership program for C-level executives is reportedly in line with Chairman Chey’s emphasis that "one must know how to play with AI to achieve innovation and success." SK Group is also considering introducing an advanced AI course for CEOs next year, with the goal of "making AI a part of everyday life for all leaders and members."
