Five-Session Program at Gijang-gun Office from September 23 to October 28
Applications Open for Participants Until the 19th
Gijang-gun has launched the "2025 Gijang-gun Startup Academy" to strengthen the capabilities of prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs, and is accepting applications for participants until the 19th.
The "Startup Academy" will be held over five sessions from September 23 to October 28 in the Hong Eui-jae Lecture Room on the 9th floor of Gijang-gun Office. Each session will accommodate up to 20 participants. Anyone aged 19 or older who resides in Gijang-gun and is either a prospective entrepreneur or has started a business within the past three years is eligible to apply.
The curriculum includes practical, hands-on programs such as theoretical education focused on areas like refining startup items, writing business plans, branding, marketing, and finance and law. It also features one-on-one customized mentoring by experts in each field, company visits, and special lectures by successful entrepreneurs.
The program emphasizes expanding networking opportunities among participants to establish a foundation for collaboration. In November, after the completion of the course, additional one-on-one mentoring will be provided to outstanding graduates and participants with a strong entrepreneurial drive, actively supporting their practical preparations for launching a business.
Mayor Jeong Jongbok stated, "We will identify and systematically nurture local-based entrepreneurs to build a startup-friendly ecosystem," adding, "We will continue to develop policies that not only support startups but also make tangible contributions to revitalizing the local economy and creating jobs."
