On September 11, Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dongyeon highly praised President Lee Jaemyung's '100th day in office,' stating, "It has been 'Unkwoncheoncheong,' with the clouds lifting and the skies clearing for the Korean economy."
In a post on his social media that day, Governor Kim wrote, "The 100 days of President Lee Jaemyung have been a time of 'Unkwoncheoncheong,'" adding, "This was clearly evident in the President's press conference held today to mark his 100th day in office."
He particularly emphasized, "I fully agree with the emphasis on the role of expansionary fiscal policy," and stressed, "Now is the time to spend money, and fiscal policy must serve as the priming water for growth."
He also argued, "As the President stated, a debt ratio of 50% is a level our economy can fully handle," and added, "On the contrary, it is by implementing an active fiscal policy now that we can reduce the burden on future generations and create a virtuous cycle for securing fiscal soundness in the mid to long term."
Additionally, he noted, "The practical approach to expanding renewable energy stood out," and diagnosed, "It is no exaggeration to say that the survival of our economy depends on solving the power supply issues for future industries such as semiconductors and artificial intelligence (AI), and as the President emphasized, the key is speed."
He continued, "Over the past three years, Gyeonggi Province has installed 1GW of new solar power, equivalent to one nuclear power plant," and promised, "We will continue to rapidly expand renewable energy, including RE100 for industrial complexes and agrivoltaics."
Furthermore, he added, "The Lee Jaemyung administration is a 'government of national sovereignty' and a 'growth government,'" and pledged, "Gyeonggi Province will run vigorously to become the 'heart of Korea's growth.'"
