According to Kyungdong Navien on September 12, a survey conducted among approximately 700 consumers who tried the Navien Sleep Mat Four Seasons for four weeks found that over 80% responded that it actually helped them sleep better. During the recruitment period for the product trial group, the company reported that a total of 500,000 people visited the website and more than 1,300 people signed up as new members, indicating strong interest in the product.
The core of this product lies in its technology that provides both cooling and heating. By lowering the water temperature in the "Sleep Hub" and circulating it through the mat, users can enjoy a cool and restful sleep even on hot days. In winter, the heater built into the Sleep Hub warms the water and circulates it through the mat to deliver warmth. This approach allows for a comfortable sleep environment while reducing energy consumption for heating and cooling. According to experiments conducted by Kyungdong Navien and Dankook University, when both the air conditioner and the Sleep Mat Four Seasons were set to 27 degrees Celsius and used together, sleep quality improved by 15% compared to running the air conditioner alone at 25 degrees Celsius. Energy usage was reduced by 21%. When used together with a boiler in winter, sleep efficiency increased by 7% compared to using only the boiler.
The Navien Sleep Mat Four Seasons also offers an "AI Sleep Mode" that automatically manages the mat's temperature through artificial intelligence (AI) via an application. By analyzing the user's breathing sounds during sleep detected by the smartphone, the system determines sleep stages and adjusts the mat's temperature accordingly to create an optimal sleep environment.
The online sleep platform "Dankkum Store" is also bustling, boosted by the popularity of the Navien Sleep Mat Four Seasons. Opened in 2021, Dankkum Store provides a variety of information to promote healthy sleep. Its main feature is the "Sleep Record System," which awards points that can be exchanged for goods when users log their sleep status. Users check their daily sleep condition as "Good," "Average," or "Poor," and enter their sleep duration and factors that disturbed their sleep to receive a sleep score. They can review their sleep condition over a week and receive customized content based on this data. The platform also offers "Sleep Articles" that introduce sleep market trends and various information, as well as "Insomnia Counseling," where experts respond to concerns about sleeplessness. In the "Sweet Sleep Insights" section, users can find a variety of information to help improve sleep, such as the relationship between body temperature and sleep, and solutions for children's sleep apnea.
