Damyang County to Conduct 'Preference Survey' for Next Year's Hometown Love Fund Projects Attachment for the Hometown Love Fund Survey Distribution. Provided by Damyang County

Damyang County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Jeong Cheolwon) announced on September 11 that it will conduct the "Damyang County Hometown Love Fund Project Preference Survey" for 10 days until the 20th, in order to reflect the opinions of donors and residents in the selection of projects for the 2026 Hometown Love Fund.

This survey is part of the process to ensure transparency in fund management and to select projects that align with the purpose of donations. It targets four candidate projects that were shortlisted through practical consultations among relevant departments, based on ideas submitted via a public contest and departmental proposals.

The candidate projects are: ▲ Creating a Healthy City in Damyang Where Children and Mothers Feel Safe ▲ Clean Damyang! Establishing a Pest-Free Disease Control System ▲ Damyang Cultural Guardians! Youth Global Cultural Heritage Interpreter Training Project ▲ Comforting Mind School, a Mental Care Project for High-Risk Children and Adolescents.

Anyone interested in Damyang can participate in the survey via Naver Form. In addition, a paper survey is available for digitally vulnerable groups, and a text message survey will be conducted for donors. Further details can be found in the notices section on the Damyang County website.

Governor Jeong Cheolwon stated, "We will incorporate the diverse opinions of donors and residents into the fund projects so that the valuable donations sent with love for Damyang can truly benefit the lives of our residents," and asked for active interest and participation in the survey.

Meanwhile, since last year, the county has been using the Hometown Love Fund to implement various projects such as accompanying elderly residents with mobility difficulties to hospitals, supporting local children's centers, operating rural community meal centers, supporting youth reading clubs, and subsidizing electricity bills for small business owners, thereby working to improve residents' welfare and promote regional development.
