Yeongyang County Public Officials Labor Union Holds Second-Term Inauguration Ceremony

The Yeongyang County Public Officials Labor Union held its inauguration ceremony for the second term in the main conference room of the Yeongyang County Office on September 11, officially commencing its activities.

The Yeongyang County Public Officials Labor Union was originally established as the Yeongyang County Public Officials Workplace Council on March 28, 2003. Based on the opinions of its members, it was newly founded as a labor union on April 4, 2024. The organization has consistently worked to improve the rights and welfare of public officials in Yeongyang County.

The second-term Yeongyang County Public Officials Labor Union has adopted the slogan "A Stronger Union through Participation and Communication," and plans to focus on improving working conditions and enhancing welfare for its members. Additionally, it aims to strengthen cooperation and solidarity with other unions to improve the treatment of public officials.

At the inauguration ceremony, more than 200 people, including Seok Hyunjung, Chairperson of the Federation of Public Officials Labor Unions, Gong Juseok, Chairperson of the National Federation of City, County, and District Public Officials Labor Unions, Oh Dochang, Yeongyang County Governor, Kim Youngbeom, Chairperson of the Yeongyang County Council, and Yoon Cheolnam, member of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council, attended to celebrate this new beginning.

During the ceremony, Oh Jeho, Chairperson of the second-term Yeongyang County Public Officials Labor Union, expressed his aspirations, stating, "Through the active interest and participation of our members, we will strengthen solidarity with higher-level organizations and strive to create a workplace culture where public officials are respected as dignified workers."
