Under this agreement, the two organizations will pursue various collaborative projects, including: operating creative workshops and humanities programs based at the Democracy Movement Memorial Hall; exchanging exhibition spaces and planning joint exhibitions; and jointly developing and operating performing arts projects.

In October, the dance piece "Speaking to Democracy," which was first presented at the opening performance of the Democracy Movement Memorial Hall, will be restaged during the Buma Democratic Uprising Memorial Week. This performance, which takes place at the historically significant former Namyeong-dong Anti-Communist Investigation Office, is a site-specific production that has been praised for expressing contemporary democratic issues through the dancers' dynamic movements and philosophical gestures. The upcoming performance will be attended by artists, victims and their families, government and National Assembly officials, and local residents.

Jung Byungguk, Chairperson of the Arts Council Korea, stated, "The foundation of today's Republic of Korea and K-culture is democratization. As the symbolically significant Namyeong-dong Anti-Communist Investigation Office has been reborn as the Democracy Movement Memorial Hall, we will actively work to ensure that this agreement provides new creative inspiration to artists and generates greater synergy where democracy and the arts meet."

Lee Jaeoh, Chairperson of the Korea Democracy Foundation, said, "The power that roots democratization in the hearts and daily lives of the people is culture and the arts. We will help instill the values of democracy deeply in the public, provide creators with rich historical material, and make our society healthier."
