Samsung SDS Ramps Up Agentic AI... "Aiming to Be the Best Partner"

Samsung SDS Hosts 'REAL Summit 2025' for Customers
"Unprecedented Innovation with AI Agents"
Providing an 'AI Full Stack' Covering Comprehensive AI Services and Technologies

Samsung SDS is ramping up its efforts in agentic artificial intelligence (AI) as the era of AI becomes fully realized. The company aims to provide comprehensive services covering all areas, including infrastructure, platforms, and solutions for AI transformation (AX), with the goal of supporting the adoption of AI agents capable of autonomous decision-making and task execution.

On the morning of September 11, at the annual customer invitation conference 'REAL Summit 2025' held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Lee Junhee, CEO of Samsung SDS, delivered a keynote speech stating, "Samsung SDS is the best IT partner to help companies achieve AI innovation."

CEO Lee emphasized that AI agents capable of autonomous decision-making and task execution are having a broad impact on corporate work. He stated, "We are now entering the era of AI agents that not only assist but autonomously carry out tasks," adding, "When AI agents are introduced to the workplace, companies will experience unprecedented innovation in both efficiency and speed."

As an example, Lee explained that for business travel, "An AI agent can analyze personal schedules, preferences, and past usage history with a single request to find and book the optimal flight."

Samsung SDS offers services such as 'FABRIX,' a generative AI platform that connects various language models and enterprise systems based on the Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP); 'Brity Copilot,' a generative AI service applied to collaboration solutions; and 'Brity Automation' for automating work processes. Through these services, the company aims to provide an 'AI full stack' that encompasses all the components and services required to implement and operate AI technology.

Samsung SDS highlighted that FABRIX makes it easy to create and utilize AI agents for work. FABRIX supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), a protocol that enables large language models (LLMs) to utilize external data and systems, and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) technology, a protocol for collaboration among multiple AI agents. These technologies supporting agent collaboration can assist with corporate work.

Brity Copilot was presented as a "personal agent" for individual work. In addition to utilizing real-time work data, this service interacts with users to serve as "the AI work assistant that knows me best." Specifically, it offers features such as: ▲an interpreting agent that provides real-time multilingual interpretation and translation during video conferences ▲a briefing agent that informs users of key schedules and tasks ▲a curating agent that recommends knowledge relevant to the work context ▲an answering agent that automatically responds to work inquiries during absences ▲a voice agent that handles work through voice commands while on the move.

For work automation, Brity Automation is set to evolve from the existing 'Brity Automation Bot' to an 'Agentic Bot,' introducing technology that can automate not only standardized, repetitive tasks but also scenarios where data or user interfaces (UI) change.

The event showcased Samsung SDS's flagship services in generative AI, cloud, AI-based data analytics, and enterprise solutions, as well as digital transformation cases across various industries such as manufacturing and finance. Notably, public sector cases were shared, including the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's government-wide AX innovation initiative and the Ministry of Employment and Labor's public-private partnership cloud-based AI support system for labor inspectors.

Experience programs for Samsung SDS's generative AI services were available, along with exhibition booths from solution partners and Samsung SDS subsidiaries such as Multicampus, Miracom Inc., S-Core, Secui, and MLO.

Peter Pluim, Head of SAP Enterprise Cloud Services, and Michael Dell, Chairman of Dell Technologies, introduced their partnership and collaboration cases with Samsung SDS during their keynote speeches.

Pluim stated, "Through Samsung SDS's secure and efficient data centers, we provide SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud, and customers can also utilize a variety of other services offered by Samsung SDS." Michael Dell commented, "By combining Samsung SDS's leadership in AI-based solutions with Dell's infrastructure expertise, we look forward to a bright future of AI innovation together."

Lee Junghun, Head of Strategic Marketing at Samsung SDS, said, "We will continue to play a leading role in corporate innovation using AI and cloud technology," adding, "We are committed to supporting our corporate clients in successfully achieving AI transformation."

Meanwhile, more than 8,000 people attended the event in person, and the total number of participants, including the online audience, reached approximately 15,000.
