"Toward Where the Flowers Bloom"... May Mothers' Painting Exhibition

Gallery Saenggak Sangja announced on September 10 that it will be holding the "The Fifth Painting Harvest of May Mothers" exhibition.

The exhibition will take place from September 11 to October 21 on the first floor of the Paper and People building in Sotae-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju, and will feature around 100 paintings created by about 10 May Mothers.

Since 2022, Gallery Saenggak Sangja has been organizing exhibitions to transform the pain of May Mothers living alone into art.

Juhong, the director of Gallery Saenggak Sangja, said, "After the December 3 Martial Law, the May Mothers spent time sharing their thoughts on democracy through their paintings and comforting one another. I hope many people will take an interest in this fifth painting harvest exhibition, which cultivates the garden of the May Mothers' hearts."
