Jeonju City in North Jeolla Province announced on September 10 that tickets for the opening ceremony of the 2025 Jeonju Drone Soccer World Cup will be available for free on a first-come, first-served basis through the online reservation platform Ticketlink, starting at 7:00 p.m. on September 12.
Although the opening ceremony tickets can be reserved for free on a first-come, first-served basis, applicants are responsible for the ticket issuance fee. As only those who complete the advance reservation will be allowed entry, citizens and visitors interested in the event are encouraged to make their reservations promptly.

The tournament, held under the slogan "Drone Soccer: Opening the Sky, Connecting the World," will take place from September 25 to 28 at the Jeonju International Drone Sports Center and other venues around Jeonju World Cup Stadium.
This global sporting event, featuring teams from 32 countries, is jointly hosted by Jeonju City, the Federation of International Drone Soccer Associations (FIDA), the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and North Jeolla Province. It marks the first World Cup to be held in Jeonju, the birthplace of drone soccer.
In particular, the opening ceremony, which begins at 6:00 p.m. on the first day, will be a special stage blending sports and culture.
The opening ceremony will commence with the entrance of world-class teams, followed by the opening declaration, athlete and referee oaths, and a drone soccer ball performance to kick off the tournament. Performances by RIIZE, AHOF, ICHILLIN', and Kim Heejae are also scheduled to take place.
Noh Sangheub, President of the Federation of International Drone Soccer Associations, stated, "The first-ever Drone Soccer World Cup, 'FIDA World Cup Jeonju 2025,' is a historic event that invites the world to Jeonju, the birthplace of this new drone sport, which has now expanded to over 30 countries. I am confident that this World Cup will serve as the starting point for drone soccer to establish itself as a global K-content phenomenon."
Mayor Woo Beomgi commented, "The 2025 Jeonju Drone Soccer World Cup is a global festival that everyone can enjoy, regardless of age or gender. I hope many citizens will come to the venue to experience thrilling matches and diverse performances, and fully appreciate the unique charm of Jeonju."
