The Yeongdeok Culture and Tourism Foundation will host the “2025 Yeongdeok Living Culture Festival” from September 19 to 21 along the Deokgokcheon riverside and surrounding streets, offering a variety of performances across multiple genres and vibrant local culture experiences.
This festival, organized by Yeongdeok County and hosted by the Yeongdeok Culture and Tourism Foundation, is designed to provide a cultural recharge for Yeongdeok residents weary from the long heatwave, while also serving as a special occasion to showcase the charms of Yeongdeok to tourists, including families, friends, and couples.
Notable programs include “Music Forest Yeongdeok,” which will fill autumn nights with emotion; the romantic “Night Market Hall Night Market”; and the “Yashihol Sunset Parade,” which will mark the grand finale of the festival.
In particular, “Music Forest Yeongdeok” will feature top-tier artists such as legendary folk musicians Jung Taechun and Park Eunok, Loveholic’s vocalist Jisun, the internationally acclaimed band Leenalchi, and Akdan Gwangchil, all delivering high-quality performances.
Throughout the three-day festival, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., the riverside will be lined with booths selling delicious snacks and handmade crafts, as well as various hands-on activity booths, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the fun of a living culture festival.
On the final day of the festival, September 21, a vibrant costume parade will take place at sunset along Deokgokcheon. The “Yashihol Sunset Parade” will feature Yeongdeok residents themselves showcasing creative cosplay, with awards given through a performance contest.
A representative from the Yeongdeok Culture and Tourism Foundation stated, “We hope this festival becomes a place where not only local residents but also tourists can come together to enjoy and connect,” adding, “We invite everyone to experience the beautiful autumn nights of Yeongdeok and create precious memories.”
