Yeongdeungpo District in Seoul (District Mayor Choi Hogwon) will host the 2025 Yeongdeungpo Youth Festival, ‘Cheongnyeon Bitnal, Young-Day,’ at the Yeongdeungpo Cultural Center at 1 p.m. on September 13 to commemorate Youth Day.

Yeongdeungpo District to Host Youth Festival ‘Cheongnyeon Bitnal, Young-Day’ on September 13 Provided by Yeongdeungpo District.

This festival, co-organized by the district, the Yeongdeungpo Cultural Center, and the Seoul Youth Center Yeongdeungpo, is designed to promote interaction and harmony among local youth in celebration of Youth Day (the third Saturday of September each year). Notably, this year’s festival is a participatory event, as a youth planning committee was recruited to handle everything from selecting the slogan to operating the booths, giving it added significance as it is planned and run directly by young people.

The event will feature a variety of programs, including youth club performances, a special lecture by a guest speaker, celebratory performances, and audience participation events. The opening stage will be graced by a youth club band performance, followed by a magic fusion lecture themed ‘The Secret Key to Making Dreams Come True.’ For the celebratory performance, the acoustic band Bankkobseul and singer Haha will deliver both emotional and lively performances.

There will also be experience booths operated in collaboration with youth clubs. A range of programs will be available, including art exhibitions, caricature drawing, a photo booth, VR experiences (MBTI and aptitude tests), and a ‘Run, Garden Bus! Flowerpot Making’ activity.

The festival is open to young people aged 19 to 39 who are active in Yeongdeungpo District. Detailed schedules can be found on the district office and Seoul Youth Center Yeongdeungpo websites.

Choi Hogwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, “This year’s youth festival is especially meaningful because it was planned and prepared directly by local youth. I hope many young people will come together and have a great time, and we will continue to provide opportunities for youth-led participation in the future.”
