[Weather] Seoul Highs Reach 32 Degrees... Cooler in the South and Jeju

Rain Expected in Parts of Jeonnam and Gyeongsang Regions

On Wednesday, September 10, daytime temperatures in the Seoul metropolitan area are expected to rise to 32 degrees Celsius, signaling the return of hot weather.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the expected high temperatures range from 26 to 32 degrees Celsius. Seoul is forecast to reach 32 degrees, while Incheon and Suwon are expected to see 31 degrees. In contrast, southern regions and Jeju Island will be cooler, with Busan at 29 degrees, Daegu, Ulsan, and Jeju at 28 degrees, and Pohang at 26 degrees.


Rain is expected in some areas of Jeonnam and Gyeongsang provinces until the morning. Jeju Island will experience occasional rain through the night of September 11. Expected precipitation amounts are 5 to 10 millimeters in Gwangju and Jeonnam, and less than 5 millimeters in eastern Jeonbuk. Daegu, Gyeongbuk, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo are forecast to receive 5 to 30 millimeters, while Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam are expected to see 5 to 10 millimeters of rain. Jeju Island is projected to receive 5 to 40 millimeters of rain through September 11.


Fine dust concentrations will remain at 'good' to 'moderate' levels nationwide due to favorable atmospheric dispersion.


Wave heights in the sea will range from 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the coastal waters of the East Sea and South Sea, and from 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the coastal waters of the West Sea. In the offshore areas (within approximately 200 kilometers from the coastline), wave heights will be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the West Sea and South Sea.
