The veterans commissioned hospital program allows national merit recipients and veterans to conveniently receive medical care at nearby designated hospitals, eliminating the need to travel directly to veterans hospitals.
Currently, there are a total of 113 commissioned hospitals designated in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, with at least one in each city, county, or district.
With this new designation, veterans with respiratory and otolaryngological conditions in Jung-gu will be able to access medical services more conveniently in their local area.
Kim Jongsul, Director of the Daegu Regional Veterans Affairs Office, stated, "With the addition of a veterans commissioned hospital in Jung-gu, national merit recipients and their families can now receive stable medical care closer to home. We will do our utmost to improve the health and medical welfare of veterans' families by expanding cooperation with local medical institutions."
