Yeonggwang County in South Jeolla Province has urged residents who have not yet applied for the first round of the "Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon," which began on July 21, to apply promptly before the deadline on September 12. The county emphasized that residents should not miss the application period and thus lose the opportunity to receive benefits.

The Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon is a nationwide program aimed at supporting the stability of people's daily lives and revitalizing the economy by stimulating domestic demand.

This round of support in Yeonggwang County targets 52,533 residents, and as of September 7, a total of 51,950 people had completed their applications, resulting in an application rate of 98.9%.

Additionally, the usage period for the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon is until November 30. Any unused amount will automatically expire, so recipients must use the coupon within the given period.

Once the first round of coupon distribution concludes on September 12, the second round will begin on September 22 and run until October 31. In this round, 100,000 won will be provided to residents except for the top 10% income bracket. Further details will be announced separately.

Meanwhile, Yeonggwang County has also been accepting applications for the second round of the Livelihood Economic Recovery Support Fund, which is fully funded by the county budget, since September 1.

The application period runs until October 17. To avoid congestion, only online applications were accepted during the first week (September 1 to 7). From September 8 onward, both online and in-person applications are being processed simultaneously.

The eligibility criteria are the same as the first round: residents who have continuously maintained their address in Yeonggwang County from December 27, 2024, until the application date. The support amount is 500,000 won per person.

Jang Seil, Governor of Yeonggwang County, stated, "The Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon and the Livelihood Economic Recovery Support Fund are contributing to the stability of residents' lives and increasing sales for small businesses, thereby revitalizing local commerce and energizing the regional economy. We will continue to implement a variety of policies to ensure these efforts lead not only to temporary support but also to the long-term revitalization of the local economy."
