The Gachon University Institute for Gifted Education in Science will be recruiting new students for the 2026 academic year from September 15 to 29. The recruitment targets are the advanced elementary course and the secondary course.
The advanced elementary course is open to current third to fifth grade elementary school students in the Seoul and Gyeonggi regions. Eligible applicants are those who have completed a gifted class designated by the Office of Education, a science gifted education program designated by the Ministry of Science and ICT, or a pre-education course.
In addition, out-of-school youth who have completed the online joint pre-education program may also apply with a recommendation from the director.
The secondary course consists of the advanced secondary course for first-year middle school students and the research mentorship course for second-year middle school students.

The advanced secondary course selects approximately 12 students each in five fields: integrated physics, integrated semiconductors, integrated mathematics, integrated life science, and integrated medical science. The research mentorship course is open only to students in the Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon regions who are expected to complete the current secondary mentorship course at Gachon University.
The Gachon University Institute for Gifted Education in Science is a national science gifted education institute designated by the Ministry of Science and ICT, and provides education to discover and nurture creative scientific talent.
