This project was promoted with the support of the Dongseo University RISE Project Group and Q College, and was attended by Professor Lee Seunghee and eight students from the Department of Webtoon.

Together with Professor BELNE and 15 students from the Department of Manga and Animation at Kaishi Professional University in Japan, the participants engaged in a variety of programs, including a Korea-Japan student exchange meeting, a joint manga project, local cultural experiences, lectures by Japanese faculty, and a university tour.

In particular, the participating students received mentoring from industry professionals and directly experienced the entire publication manga industry process, from planning and story development, character design, and manga directing to branding and marketing strategies. During the project, they also reflected the cultural differences of each country in the creative process, further strengthening their global collaboration skills.

Kim Yeonwoo, a third-year student in the Department of Webtoon, said, "Through the Japanese-style manga classes focused on analog hand-drawing, I learned new techniques. Above all, the experience of co-producing a manga with Japanese students was especially meaningful. I believe I will be able to actively utilize this experience as I grow as a webtoon artist in the future."

Professor Lee Seunghee stated, "This project was a valuable opportunity for students to experience not only creative skills but also the collaborative abilities and cultural sensitivity required in the global manga and webtoon market. We will continue to expand global field training and industry-academic cooperation in connection with overseas universities and institutions in the future."
